Customer: Dennis Cochran
Lives in: Oregon
Vehicle:1956 Chevrolet 3100 Pickup
Where did you find this truck?
10 years ago my stepson noticed this pickup in Albany, OR one day on his way to work. Later that afternoon we went back to look at it. Owner wanted 2000.00 we settled on 1700.00. So I bought it and trailer-ed it back to Lebanon.
What condition was it in when you got it?
Engine was shot, drivers door was tore loose at the hinge pocket and damaged left front fender destroyed. Both rear fenders also had damage. So most of the sheet metal was replaced except the cab, hood and left front fender splash pan.
Is there anything other work that you would like to do on it?
Some day paint but it is pretty expensive and will have to wait.
What was the hardest part to find?
I think it was a complete deluxe heater, vents and controls The original was a standard that do not work to well.
What other vehicles do you own?
1951 Chevy Styleline deluxe sport coupe, 1956 Chevy 2 door Belair, 1975 Blazer, 1991 Chevy K1500 pickup 1970 4 door Impala and 1971 Impala 2 door sport coupe last two are daily drivers
What is your next project?
Currently working on the 1956 2 door Belair
