This beautifully chrome plated mirror with straight arm is made to fit over hinges that are 2" high, or less. Mirror head is made in stainless steel and is 4" diameter. Mirror comes with special stainless hinge pin. Fits Left or Right.

NOTE: This mirror may not be suitable for mounting on the right side of some vehicles. Visibility on the right side can be limited due to the right hinge being too high or too low to be seen. We now offer a convex mirror head - VT-34X which works well for the right side to increase visibility.

Mounting this mirror requires drilling two small holes into the sheet metal hinge cover for the set screws.

This part fits most 1928 1929 1930 1931 1932 1933 1934 1935 1936 Chevrolet Cars; exceptions may apply. Please read the complete description to see if this part fits your specific vehicle and application.

CAUTION! READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE INSTALLATION !! Before installing these mirrors, have someone hold the mirror in place so you can see exactly how it will look once installed. You will be able to check the adjustments for visibility, especially on the passenger side. This mirror arm has been modified to fit Chevrolet applications. The hinge pin openings have been drilled out to two different sizes. THE LARGER HINGE PIN OPENING MUST BE ON TOP. This mirror arm will work on the left or right side but the large hole must be on top. To change the mirror for left or right side, simply remove the acorn nut & lock washer from the mirror stud and reverse the mounting of the mirror to the opposite side. Use masking tape to cover painted areas on the door and body to protect the paint when installing the hinge pin. To mount the mirror to the hinge, place the mirror over the hinge with the large hole at the top. Slide the hinge pin into the top hole and make sure the bottom hole aligns snugly with the end of pin. If the hinge is less than 2" you can make a small spacer to take up the extra space on the pin. Use a small metal tubing and cut to fit. Tap the hinge pin into place making sure that the knurled shoulder of the pin gets seated into the upper mirror bracket opening. Remove the short set screws that come with the mirror. You will need to drill a small hole into the hinge cover, through the upper hole for the set screw. Align the mirror where you can best see to the rear. Use the set screw hole as a guide to drill the hole. Make this hole smaller than the diameter of the set screw as this will act as a pilot hole for locking the mirror in place. Use the longer set screws provided to lock the mirror in place. NOTE: Unless your hinge cover is 2" high, the lower set screw may not be useable. However, one set screw will hold the mirror securely in place.
